It all started from the passion for nature and the freedom that comes with being in the mountain. Since I was a child together with Adrian Prelipceanu, I explore all the hills that surrounded the small town of Caransebes (Romania).  We climbed all the cliffs that ware in the area and for some reason, climbing came very natural to us.  We did not hade any technical equipment, harnesses, or ropes, but that was all about to change when we meet our mentor Cornel “Coco” Galescu. 
I have learned from him not just about rock climbing or mountaineering, but safety and respect for the mountains as well. After 3 months of training we start competing and we maid it to the Nationals. 
At the age of 17, I was officially recognize as a “Category One” climber which allowed me to lead any type of routes in competitions and also give me the recognition as a coach.  Since then, I have climbed a lot of routes, coach a lot of people, won a lot of competitions, and participate in climbing expeditions all over the world. Presently, I still focus on sport routes and bouldering, but I dedicate a lot of my time for mountaineering.
